Verde Valley teachers spend hundreds of dollars of their own money on snacks and school supplies for their classrooms. We can change that.

Through Manzanita Outreach’s School Programs, we have the opportunity to work together as a community to change the game when it comes to supporting teachers.

There are over 500 teachers in the Verde Valley. Our vision is that every Verde Valley teacher has the snacks and school supplies that they need to functionally operate a classroom and effectively educate our community’s youth.

School Programs

MO Packs for Teachers

The MO Packs for Teachers Program provides teachers with a restockable box of snacks for their classrooms. Engineered to fit snugly into a file cabinet within the teacher’s classroom, these snack boxes contain a rotating variety of over 100 individually wrapped snack items. This box of snacks is utilized to serve those children who come to school on an empty stomach; those students who do not bring enough food to school in order to nourish their bodies and minds; and the youth that teachers know are going home to an empty pantry.

School Supplies for Teachers

Manzanita Outreach’s School Supplies For Teachers Program provides teachers with school supplies to reduce the amount of money that teachers spend on their students and classroom. School supply cabinets are filled with basic, consumable school supplies, delivered to the schools, and replenished monthly. These are the supplies that typically run out, break, or are lost during the school year. Cabinets are filled with over 100 types of supply items and contain over 2,000 individual items, fully stocked.

The MO Packs for Teachers and School Supplies for Teachers programs are currently being piloted at 13 schools in the Verde Valley. By working with schools across the Verde Valley, regardless of school district, type, or location, Manzanita Outreach is able to secure bulk pricing far lower than any one school or teacher could themselves. Our pilot program has provided us the opportunity to test and refine the process by which we acquire, pack and distribute both snack boxes and school supplies. With two refrigerated trucks, warehouse space for organization and inventory, and a committed staff and volunteer workforce, Manzanita Outreach is positioned, with your support, to fulfill this vision:
